이번시간에는 Toxicological Sciences에 소개되었던

"ToxPoint : In the Era of Precision Medicine, Diversity Should Not Be Neglected in Chemical Safety Assessment"에 대해 공부하는 시간을 가져보겠습니다.

현대의학에서 개개인의 다양한 genetic backgound에 최적화된 Personalized medicine (=Precision therapy)이 큰 주목을 받고 있습니다.

하지만, 아이러니하게도 toxicologist들은 genetically engineered mouse (GEM) 혹은 cell lines with genetic heterogeniety에 대한 연구에 제한을 두는 경우가 많습니다.

Genetically diverse population-based toxicology testing의 중요성에 주목하여 본 저널에 대해 공부하며 유익한 시간을 보내길 바랍니다.
